Maratus is a genus of spider generally known as "peacock spiders." Like their namesake, they're vibrantly colored, and the species in the video below, Maratus personatus, has the song-and-dance to accompany its radiant features. There are over 40 species of Maratus, and Maratus personatus is the newest member of the club. The video below shows how it's differentiating itself from its peers.

This peacock spider has a remarkable dance, and it's reserved for that special time when it's looking for love. Jurgen Otto was the man who captured it all, and the footage is nearly as incredible as the collection of photos he amassed. All of the photos were taken in Australia, which is the only place on Earth that you'll find these guys.
