It's safe to say that without our oceans, our lives wouldn't be possible, so the video below serves more as an interesting thought experiment than a plausible reality. Simply put, if this world were without oceans, we wouldn't be here to see what it looks like.

It's particularly interesting to see what happens near islands, and by the continental slopes. It's easy to forget just how deep the ocean goes, and when you drain it all, the differences between land and sea become even more glaring than ever before.
