Someone in the land of the internet took it upon themselves to compile a slideshow of our galaxy's visible nebulae. I've only got one question — why am I just seeing it now? This is some awesome imagery, and while I've seen many of the individual images before, seeing it all together only makes it all the more glorious.

As incredible as all of these examples are, it's hard to top the "Pillars of Creation." It was taken back in 1995, and it's had professional and amateur astronomers alike oozing with wonder ever since. Stay tuned through the rest of the clip though, as they're all worth seeing.
